Designing Hardware & Writing Firmware

Hi, I'm Akarsh S M. I am a passionate Embedded Developer based in Karnataka, India. Over the last 3 years, I have worked across hardware layout design, RTOS firmware implementation, and complete product prototyping lifecycle processes.

My primary motivation is building energy-efficient and highly reliable industrial telemetry units. I am particularly experienced with platforms such as NXP i.MX6ULL, BeagleBone Black, STMicroelectronics STM32, and Nordic nRF52/ESP32 SoC controllers.

Education: I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the prestigious National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysore (Graduated in 2023).

Signal Debugging

Proficient with Oscilloscopes, Digital Logic Analyzers, and Multimeters to capture bus lines (I2C, SPI, UART) and analyze noise issues.

Protocol Analysis

Decoding communication payloads, parsing Modbus RTU telemetry packets, analyzing MQTT topics, and checking Thread/Matter mesh connections.

In-Circuit Debugging

Expertise in STM32 J-Link/ST-Link hardware debugging, GDB execution, RTOS task-switching tracing, and bootloader customization.
